The African Film Festival of Cordoba (FCAT) returns from 11th to 19th October to celebrate its tenth anniversary showcasing the best of African and Arab cinema and with the firm intention of overcoming stereotypes and help to understand the reality of the neighboring continent.
Among the ingredients of the birthday cake, 70 films from 32 countries divided into eight sections, 3 of them, in competition. Once again, places like the Teatro Góngora, Vimcorsa Hall, King Hall Twenty or Arab House will promote the film and African culture through films, exhibitions, activities for professionals and citizen participation activities for all ages.
In these ten years, FCAT Córdoba has become the annual meeting of reference in Europe for African cinema. Currently, in Spain, this is the only event dedicated to the productions of Africa and one of the largest in the world and has among its objectives offer Africa a platform to reach the public and European film professionals.
